TNA wrestler Xia Brookside said she was baptized Sunday, describing the moment as “a new chapter” while her on-screen role in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling continues to build around a feud with Lei Ying Lee.

Brookside shared a video of the baptism on X and wrote that the decision followed a period of weekly church attendance, daily reading and support from her partner. “Something I’ve been considering for a very long time, after getting consistent in going to church weekly, reading daily and the incredible support from my man, it felt like the easiest decision I’ve ever made,” she wrote, according to the report.

The personal announcement came as Brookside has been receiving renewed attention on TNA programming. At Rebellion, she helped Arianna Grace retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Lei Ying Lee by putting Grace’s foot on the rope to stop a pin attempt.

The tension continued afterward. When Lee sought answers from Brookside in the ring, Brookside hugged her before attacking her, pushing their feud further into focus.

A career across promotions

Brookside, whose real name is Xia-Louise Brooks, is the daughter of retired pro wrestler Robbie Brookside, who works as a trainer and producer for WWE NXT.

She began her career in the United Kingdom and worked on the independent scene before joining WWE in 2018. She later appeared in WWE NXT UK, competed for Stardom in Japan and eventually joined TNA.

Brookside has held championships in International Pro Wrestling United Kingdom and Rise Wrestling, and she was ranked No. 91 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2019 list of top women’s wrestlers.

The available report did not indicate that Brookside’s baptism post signaled any change to her wrestling schedule. On TNA programming, the immediate storyline remains her conflict with Lee and her place near the Knockouts title picture.
