Four more women have accused former NFL player and ESPN analyst Marcellus Wiley of sexual assault, adding to earlier allegations and bringing the number of accusers cited in a Fox News report to seven.
The new allegations, which Fox reported were filed in court last month, include a former ESPN production assistant who alleges Wiley used the pretense of a work meeting to get her into his hotel room in 2009. Wiley has denied the accusations, calling them “blatant lies” in a video posted to his YouTube channel.
New claims follow earlier accusations
Wiley was first accused in November 2023 and immediately dismissed those allegations as “BS,” according to Fox. Two more women later came forward with accusations in March of last year, the report said.
In the newly reported court filings, the former ESPN production assistant alleges Wiley entered a bathroom, came out naked, pushed her against a hotel-room window and then onto a bed, where she says he held her down and masturbated over her before allowing her to leave. Another accuser alleges Wiley groomed her from age 13 and raped her on her 18th birthday after meeting her when she was in Buffalo and Wiley played for the Bills. The alleged rape, she said, happened in Dallas while he was with the Cowboys.
Wiley disputes the account
Wiley responded Tuesday on YouTube, arguing that communications and other records will show the women continued to contact or see him after the alleged incidents.
“For every one of them, I either saw, communicated through email, text, phone, was invited by these individuals after these dates to engage, to be intimate, or all of the above, after the dates that are in question,” Wiley said, according to Fox. He said those records “directly contradicts the narrative that they’re trying to present publicly.”
Wiley also asked why accusers maintained friendly communication with him after the alleged incidents and said “records receipts” would be presented to challenge their accounts.
The allegations remain disputed. The report did not include a court ruling on the accusations or any response from ESPN. As the matter develops, the central question will be what the court filings and any documented communications show about the claims and Wiley’s denial.
